This safari takes you Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, and Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park in Uganda’s south west after a memorable game viewing in the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, not to mention romantic relaxation in the profound Lake Bunyonyi.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Pick up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

When you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, you are met by a driver guide who will transport you to Kibale Forest National Park.
Beautiful views of the lush landscape flora, birds, and lunch are available en way.
After some time, you arrive in the park and check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Depending on your arrival time, you may have a Kampala city tour before leaving, and if time allows, you will enjoy an evening cultural interaction.

Day 2Tracking Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park

Wake early, have breakfast, and then travel to the Park headquarters for a training on the code of behavior around the Chimpanzees. Later, in groups of 8 with a park ranger, enter the forest to follow the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours, taking different pictures to preserve for memories.
Following that, you will have lunch before going on a wonderful nature walk and a short cultural interaction before returning to your lodge for relaxation, supper, and sleep.

Day 3Transfer to Queen Elizabeth, followed by an afternoon game drive

After your wonderful day of chimp tracking, you will get up early in the morning and return to Queen Elizabeth, perhaps with a cultural interaction along way as you enjoy views of the lush landscape flora, Mountains of the Moon, birds, and lunch.
When you arrive, you will embark on a magnificent goame drive to see the elephants, with the potential of seeing leopards, lions, buffaloes, wathogs, kobs, and other animals.
After this encounter, return to your lodge for some rest, supper, and sleep.

Day 4Morning game drive followed by an afternoon boat trip.

Wake up, have breakfast, and then transfer inside the park to enjoy a game drive through the park’s different trails.
Watch many wildlife creatures like as elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes], hyenas, warthogs, alibi, and so on, then break off and go on a wonderful boat ride to meet the park’s different aquatics such as hippo, crocodiles, and buffaloes.
Return to your lodge once you’ve finished this task.

Day 5Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake up, have a delicious breakfast, and ready to go to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.
If the road is in good condition, we will go via the Isasha region to see the tree-climbing lions.
You’ll travel past the beautiful vistas of Mount Rwenzori and arrive in the early evening, when you’ll rest and look forward to tomorrow’s exciting activities.

Day 6Gorilla hiking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, travel to the Park headquarters for a training on the rules of behavior in the presence of Mountain Gorillas in their native forest environment.

After a training, you are divided into groups of eight with a park ranger and then enter the jungle to track the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours. When you encounter them, you are only given an hour in their presence to take different pictures to preserve as memories.

Return to the starting point as you move to Lake Bunyonyi for leisure after Gorilla Trekking.

 

Day 7Spend the whole day relaxing on Kyahugye Island.

After waking up early in the morning, you will have breakfast before embarking on a cultural encounter trip to meet the batwa and have an unforgettable island stay.

Following that, you may continue your Island trip with additional relaxations as you experience the air of the vast Island.

You may go swimming or kyaking for an additional fee.

Day 8Transfer to Lake Mburo and enjoy a boat ride/game drive in the afternoon

After a delicious breakfast, you prepare for a journey to Lake Mburo.

You will go to the park and arrive in time for lunch.

We’ll have lunch at our lodge before departing for a boat ride on the beautiful Lake Mburo, which is situated inside the park.

Crocodiles basking in the sun, schools of hippos, abundant wildlife such as pelicans, malachite and pied kingfishers fishing, herons, cormorants, and the colorful fish eagle may all be seen on the boat safari.

We’ll go on a brief game drive before returning to your lodge for some rest, supper, and an overnight stay.

Day 9Arrival in Kampala

Wake up, have breakfast, and then start on a basic cultural experience in which you will meet, watch, and attempt cow milking, learn more about the Ankole people, and then board a transport to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to catch your journey home.
